Alan Powell Writer/Director Filmmaking is Alan’s second career. For 10 years he owned and operated PNAgency, where he produced & directed hundreds of audio productions involving radio, TV and multimedia for clients throughout North America. After selling his agency he began focusing his efforts on writing and directing. His short film, Across the Hall (2006), has garnered awards and nominations internationally. Funded by the National Film Board of Canada and the Ontario Arts Council, the film had its Canadian premiere at the Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2006 and has since screened in festivals worldwide. As a writer he recently worked on the anime series Z-Squad for Nelvana Ltd. and was also commissioned to write a docu/drama on dating violence for the Thames Valley School Board in London, Ontario which he also directed. In 2008 Alan was directing segments on the TV series Urban Legends for Cineflix. He is currently in production with his first feature length film enitiled Saturday. |
