Neighbours, Friends and Families
Objective: To alert the public to the warning signs of woman abuse and potentially dangerous situations that they can help prevent. Approach: A series of Public Service Announcements in both English and French that depict abusive family situations and how it affects others and what they can do to help. The PSA’s aired nationally on Global and CBC in conjunction with a provincial campaign. What Everyone Should Know About Woman Abuse Objective: To alert the public to the warning signs of woman abuse and potentially dangerous situations that they can help prevent. Approach: A documentary about the tragic murder of Sandra Schott by her husband. Family and friends reflect on the events leading up to the death of the mother of three not realizing that what they were witnessing were warning signs. The documentary was rolled out as part of the Neighbours, Friends and Families provincial campaign as well as being aired on local television. |
